Effective Date: March 20, 2026
Thank you for choosing Inventory Audit - Fast Barcode Scanner ("we," "our," or "app"). Your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we handle your information when you use our app.
We do not collect any personal information, usage data, or any other user data. All data created and managed within the Inventory Audit app remains solely on your device.
Our app requests access to your device's camera solely for the purpose of scanning barcodes. We have built a custom user interface that utilizes Google's ML Kit for barcode recognition. The camera feed is never stored, transmitted, or processed outside of your device. All scanning operations happen locally on your device.
Our app may request storage permissions to allow you to export inventory reports to your device. We do not access any files outside of what you explicitly choose to save from our app.
By default, all inventory data, including scanned barcodes, item descriptions, and any custom fields you create, are stored locally on your device. You have the option to securely back up this database to your personal Google Drive using our Cloud Sync feature. This data is never transmitted to us (the developers) or any third-party servers.
If you choose to enable Cloud Sync, Inventory Audit will request limited access to your Google Drive. Our app strictly requests the minimum necessary permissions to create, read, and update a single, dedicated folder named 'InventoryAudit_Backups' and the database file within it.
Strict Isolation: The app cannot read, modify, delete, or access any of your other personal files, folders, or data stored in your Google Drive. Your inventory data is transmitted directly and securely between your device and your Google account. We do not collect, intercept, or have any access to your Google account information or your backup files.
Our app uses Google's ML Kit for barcode scanning functionality. This component operates entirely on your device and does not transmit scan data to Google or any other third party.
Our app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date at the top of this page.
